چکیده
Background After a failure of colorectal or coloanal anastomosis, redo anastomotic surgery aims to avoid the risk permanent stoma but, overall, provide satisfactory functional result and quality life. Very limited data exist regarding long-term results after successful anastomosis. The present study aimed report outcomes life in patients anastomosis Methods Between 2007 2018, all who had restoration bowel continuity failed primary performed for rectal cancer were included. Functional assessed using low anterior syndrome score Gastrointestinal Quality Life Index. Results One hundred twenty-seven eligible inclusion this study, with 73 (57%). median follow-up 69 months, 31 presented no minor (42%), whereas reported major (42%). A definitive was confectioned 11 (15%), despite technical success due poor results. Only operative interval <36 months associated outcome (P = .001), other factors such as pelvic radiotherapy not .848). An absence only factor improved .001). Conclusion good can be achieved almost half well-preserved but requires prolonged postoperative period rehabilitation.

Laparoscopic Coloanal Anastomosis for Low Rectal Cancer
OBJECTIVES Low anterior resection with hand-sutured coloanal anastomosis for low rectal cancer is technically feasible, and it does not compromise oncologic results. We describe herein the effectiveness of the operation in treating low rectal cancer by a laparoscopic approach followed by intraanal canal dissection. METHODS From February 1999 to October 1999, we used a laparoscopic procedure t...

Transvaginal coloanal anastomosis after rectal resection for the treatment of a rectovaginal fistula induced by radiation.
Although decreasing in number, radiation induced rectovaginal fistulas are caused by some radiation injuries and chronic ischemic lesions. Most of the experienced authors recommend anterior rectal resection with coloanal anastomosis accessed through the abdominal-perineum area for high fistula. We present a patient with a fistula that developed 23 years after hysterectomy and radiotherapy. In t...
متن کاملLong-term functional results after straight or colonic J-pouch coloanal anastomosis.
Proctectomy followed by straight coloanal anastomosis (CAA) often results in poor functional outcome known as the anterior resection syndrome. It is now based on evidence that a colonic J-pouch CAA improves outcome in the first 2 years. We assessed the very late functional outcome of CAA patients with or without a pouch. These results show that the functional benefit of the J-pouch anastomoses ...
